Racketeering Allegations and RICO TroubleAt the heart of the case is the US government’s use of the powerful Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), typically reserved for mafia bosses and gang leaders. Prosecutors allege that Combs operated a sprawling network involving sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution from 2008 to the present – a claim he has vehemently denied.
