Residents of Bishop Okoye Street in Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, were left in utter disbelief following a bizarre and violent altercation between a couple that ended with a woman biting off the tip of her lover’s manhood.

The shocking incident occurred on Thursday, 15 May 2025, when a 43-year-old woman simply identified as Gift allegedly attacked her partner, Sunday, during a heated disagreement.
According to eyewitness reports, the argument began after Sunday allegedly requested sex, which Gift declined. Sources revealed that the woman refused intimacy because Sunday had reportedly taken aphrodisiacs. The situation escalated into violence when Sunday allegedly tried to force himself on her.
In an apparent act of self-defence, Gift allegedly latched onto his genitals with her mouth and bit off the tip of his manhood. One resident, who spoke to Punch Newspaper on the condition of anonymity, said,
“Mr. Sunday became angry and descended on his female partner for refusing sex. In the heat of the struggle, she bit off the cap of his manhood.”
The man’s agonising screams reportedly drew the attention of neighbours, who rushed to the scene. Some enraged residents allegedly attempted to mob the woman before police officers from Nkpolu Division intervened.
Police spokesperson for Rivers State, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying:
“Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman, aged 43, has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing.”
Authorities are currently investigating the matter while Sunday receives urgent medical attention for his injuries.
