Usher lit up Manhattan’s Financial District with a Gatsby-inspired celebration as he joined Ralph Lauren and L’Oréal to unveil the brand’s latest fragrance, Ralph’s Club New York. The star-studded night fused music, fashion, and scent into a larger-than-life experience that left the city buzzing.
Arriving in a jewel-toned purple velvet tuxedo, Usher embodied the glamour of the evening, setting the tone for over 500 guests who filled the Beaux-Arts–style venue, once home to the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank. The space transformed into an Art Deco dream, with tuxedos, sweeping gowns, and a glittering atmosphere reminiscent of a movie set.
Usher has embraced his role as the fragrance’s ambassador, carrying the metallic bottle everywhere from the U.S. Open finals to major talk shows. He likens the creativity of fragrance to music, where both art forms use notes to evoke emotions. His partnership with Ralph Lauren marks his first major endorsement with a global fashion house—one he describes as iconic and steeped in heritage.

The evening was graced by luminaries including Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Chastain, Tiwa Savage, Ashlee Simpson Ross, and Deacon Phillippe, alongside Ralph Lauren models such as Taylor Hill, Sam Hartman, and Noah Mills. Guests mingled, toasted, and celebrated the launch, with Usher at the centre of the spotlight, graciously sharing moments with admirers and collaborators.

As midnight approached, the Grammy winner and Super Bowl headliner raised a Jay Gatsby–style toast, lifting a dram of rare Glenfiddich Grand Couronne 26-Year-Old whisky. Silver confetti showered the crowd, sealing the night with a burst of spectacle that epitomised Ralph Lauren’s mastery in blending timeless elegance with modern showmanship.
For those who were there, it was more than a launch party—it was an immersion into Ralph Lauren’s world of glamour, creativity, and cultural influence. As the confetti settled on velvet lapels and flowing gowns, Ralph’s Club dissolved back into memory, leaving New York eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
