A shop security guard, Abdullah, 29, recounted how he disarmed a knifeman who attacked an 11-year-old girl and her 34-year-old mother in London’s Leicester Square.
Abdullah said he heard a scream and immediately tackled the attacker, restraining him and taking away the knife.

He stated, “I just saw a kid getting stabbed and I just tried to save her. It’s my duty to just save them.” Abdullah and his colleagues provided first aid to the girl until police arrived within four minutes.
The Metropolitan Police reported that the girl, who requires hospital treatment, is in stable condition, while her mother sustained minor injuries.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and authorities are not seeking additional suspects.
The incident is not considered terror-related, and there is no indication that the suspect knew the victims.
Abdullah, who has been working at the TWG Tea shop for about eight months, described how he saw the attacker and quickly intervened, holding him down until the police arrived.
Police commended the bravery of Abdullah and others who assisted.
Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah praised their actions, stating, “They put themselves at risk and showed the best of London in doing so.”
