Pastor and singer Nathaniel Bassey, known for his soul-stirring music, will minister at Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast on 20 January 2025.
According to a flyer shared by the singer, he will also perform at the World Leaders Peace and Harmony Inaugural Ball and the US African and Caribbean Economic and Sustainable Development Summit, scheduled for 20–21 January at the Capital Hilton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
The events are organised by the African and Caribbean International Leadership Conference in honour of Trump’s swearing-in as president.
An excited Jumbo Aniebeit, also slated to perform, shared the announcement on social media, writing: “Blessed to be ministering at the world leaders’ presidential inaugural ball.” Aniebeit, a gifted trumpeter like Nathaniel Bassey, is celebrated for gospel hits such as Running, Onyeoma, Okaka, and Fabulous Father.
Bassey’s rise to global recognition has often been attributed to divine orchestration. In a past ministration in Port Harcourt, he shared a prophecy he received years ago that he would impact the world through gospel music. The prophet also warned him to guard his destiny against negative influences.
This international recognition highlights the wealth of talent within Nigeria’s gospel music industry, showcasing the country’s anointed singers on a global stage.
