The lineup for the Olympics opening ceremony has been announced, featuring Aya Nakamura, Céline Dion, and Lady Gaga as performers.
After months of suspense, French newspaper Le Parisien has unveiled the first artists for the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, set to take place on today, July 26.
Renowned stage director Thomas Jolly has curated a star-studded event celebrating French musical culture.
Aya Nakamura, France’s most popular singer, will perform a Charles Aznavour classic with the Republican Guard. Céline Dion will sing an Édith Piaf song, and Lady Gaga will also take the stage.
The event will feature various collaborations, including a duet between Pianist Sofiane Pamart and singer Juliette Armanet, a B2B set with Philippe Katerine and drummer Cerrone, and an original performance by opera singer Marina Viotti and eco-metal band Gojira. Parisian rapper Rim’K from hip hop band 113 will also perform.
The ceremony begins at 7:30 PM CEST, and while the setlist has not been released, it’s best to tune in from the start to catch all the performances.
The Olympics will provide a streaming channel for live and past events.
