Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has allegedly claimed he paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to secure a Federal Government pardon.

The payment was an attempt to resolve money laundering charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to Bobrisky, the SAN initially requested N10 million, but he could only raise half the amount due to his frozen bank account. He disclosed that his godfather stepped in to provide the N5 million.

The revelation was made public in a video shared by popular social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on October 7, 2024.

The call, reportedly recorded on May 16, 2024, includes Bobrisky explaining that his godfather had also arranged a well-furnished apartment for him near the prison.

Bobrisky clarified that he was not incarcerated, contrary to public belief, but staying nearby.

He stated, “I’m not in prison, but I’m around there. They got me an apartment because of my godfather. He ensured I didn’t go to prison.”

Bobrisky further mentioned that if the pardon is granted, he could be released by the first week of next month, despite his sentence officially ending in July.

He also claimed that EFCC operatives previously demanded and received N15 million to drop charges.

After the recording surfaced, Bobrisky made a humorous post on Instagram, writing, “Nurse Titi, your patient is out again,” followed by laughing emojis.
