A lawyer, Igwe Ifeoma, has been arraigned earlier than Chief Justice of the Peace P.E Nwaka sitting on the Justice of the Peace’s Courtroom, Yaba, Lagos State, on Wednesday, on fees bordering on youngster trafficking, assault of an 11-year-old woman, Esther Onwa.

“That you simply, Barrister Barrister Igwe Ifeoma, on the stated date, time and place, within the aforesaid Magisterial District, did grievous hurt to at least one Esther Onwa, 11, by injuring her in her eyes with a wire able to rendering her completely blind.”

The prosecutor, Olofin Williams, stated the offenses have been punishable below Sections 411, 276(a), 172, 173, 246, and 245 of the Felony Legislation of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

The accused pleaded not responsible to all fees.

Justice of the Peace Nwaka granted the accused a bail of N200,000, with two sureties, and ordered that the sufferer ought to be taken to the state’s social welfare workplace.
